Life with boys is never dull. And as a boy mom, I’ve come to realise and accept that boys LOVE gadgets, like LIVE for them. If my boys are not stuck onto trying to work out a new game or toy, they are trying to make their own gadgets with stuff lying around the house. They are always trying to invent a new contraption or asking for the latest gadgets available that they pick up on YouTube. It’s like this constant need to be busy.

I can remember my hubs telling me a few years ago “Just wait until they discover Playstation and all the wonder of gaming!” And I was like “Ya ya, They are too small for that. Give them at least 4 years!” But just like that, almost overnight they have become passionate little gamers who are always calling their friends over for little Playstation session in between their other adventures.

Now obviously I don’t mind, I mean in moderation. My kids work hard and so if they are on top of their work and have spent at leat 60% of their day outside, I don’t mind them enjoying some Mine Craft or whatever else they are enjoying these days. I might even go as far as saying that some of these games are pretty educational and have their benefits:

• Improves the brain’s speed. … 
• Enhances multitasking skills. …

So not all bad, as long as you monitor closely what they are playing and they are not playing for hours on end.

BUT one thing that does drive me crazy is when things are not packed away and remotes are left all over the lounge floor for mom to clean up. I like my house looking neat and what I really don’t like is tripping over remotes every five minutes and having to deal with tangled wires.
