I was invited to the opening of the first location store of the gorgeous new clothing label Sebastian baby wear. I love finding new clothing brands for kids, especially when they are good quality and affordable ones. And that is EXACTLY what Sebastian baby wear is.

Whats stood out for me from the get go with this brand is that it is designed by a mom who saw a gap in the market for cute and affordable clothing for her own child. Tessa Lakhani was appalled by some of the prices boutiques were charging for some very basic baby clothes. She had a moment looking at an overpriced baby grow and wondered how hard it would be to make. And there began her journey where she hasn’t looked back.

“What started as a hobby in 2014, has blossomed into a fully operation business, forcing us to open our first showroom, which will hopefully snowball into a national roll out, bring SBW boys and girls wear to the entire country.” says Tessa

Sebastian baby wear is all about comfort, cuteness and affordability. Made locally and with a whole lotta love, their SUMMER range of clothes stands out with lovely splashes of colour and quirky prints for both boys and girls. I love that many of their basics are still neutral enough to mix things up or keep it simple.

The product which really  stood out for me were their beautiful dribble bibs. Tessa explained to me that most of the ones she had bought in the past were too thin and with a teething toddler, they were wet through in minutes. Tessa has designed her bibs with a double layer in the front for extra absorption. The quality of these are just too incredible and for a VERY reasonable 50 bucks, it’s really no wonder they are so popular!

The other item that is perfect for the season is this cute swimsuit!
