Wasn’t it just Easter? How do the holidays come round so freaking fast? I know our kids need it but for the moms who work and don’t have the luxury (like I do) of full day/aftercare, it can be a daunting two weeks to get through.

The thing that makes it harder is that the weather doesn’t always play nice and with it being so cold our kids are forced to spend more time indoors which let’s face, can be chaotic and make everyone a tad edgy! That’s where I come in again – I’m here to remind you of things that could make your life easier during the winter holidays so that it’s not a time met with dread, boredom and frustration.

I’ve already told you guys about Showmax, but for those new to internet TV here it is in a nutshell:

ShowMax is an internet TV service which gives you access to thousands of shows, movies and children’s programmes online for a monthly subscription of R99. All you need is an internet-connected device like a smartphone or tablet, smart TV or DStv Explora and you can watch what you want, when you want it. Even better, you don’t need to be online to watch.

The wonderful thing about Showmax is that you can download up to 25 shows to watch offline making those car trips that much easier and calmer for everyone! And the big plus? You don’t need to use all your data!

What’s even better is that they have just released an amazing selection of shows just in time for the June/July holidays. What perfect timing!

  1. Thomas & Friends S13 – 19

Age 3+ –  This popular show about a group of adventurous trains and other vehicles is a firm favourite with preschoolers. Each season features sweet stories about friendship, teamwork and taking responsibility.

If you haven’t signed up yet for the low price of R99 per month and would like to try it out first before making any kind of commitment, I would encourage you to try out their FREE monthly trial. You can do that by clicking here!

I can’t help but feel a little comforted by the luxury of internet TV in the winter time. And for a deal like this, it’s a luxury most people can afford!
