I’ve been a huge fan of Superbalist for years. Pretty much since we moved into our apartment 6 years ago, and we were trying to find great quality decor and furniture that didn’t cost the earth! We have filled our home with rugs, art prints, decor pieces and even some pretty gorgeous linen over the years and we haven’t been disappointed with a single item. I love that it’s online so your orders are delivered straight to your door and their service is nothing short of impeccable.

It was only last year though that I made use of Superbalist for a clothing shop for my littles. It was about this time last year, just before our holiday to Mauritius, that it dawned on me that the kids all needed new swimwear, t-shirts and slip slops! So many friends suggested I try them, because it was winter and department stores were no longer stocking any summer apparel whatsoever.  I popped onto Superbalist and placed my order for a bunch of really amazing kid’s clothes including some awesome board-shorts for the boys! It was so amazing not having to go stand in queues ( so I could get on with the packing!) and simply have it sent straight to my door.

Now that winter is well on the way and my kids once again seem to have out-grown so much seemingly overnight, I thought I would have a browse to see what kid’s clothes they have in store for us this season. And as usual there are some incredible finds for those mamas looking for good quality and reasonably priced clothing.

Here are my top 5 must-haves for kids! (BOY kids that is, but don’t worry there’s plenty for the little ladies!)

1. THE HOODY

I love their range of hoodies and we have bought our fair share of these ones fromm Coton ON over the years. All these Liam hoodies featured below are top on our list! The brand is COTTON ON and they cost about R269 each. They get a huge thumbs up from my boys too and I’m sure we will be stocking up on some for the winter season. The most energy we will be spending is deciding which ones to get, because they are all so RAD!!

2. THE JACKET

This awesome Boys Parka Jacket POP CANDY R369! I love everything about is but most the price!!

It’s spot in terms of winter/autumn colors in the most beautiful rust. I love these rusty earth tones because they really do go with everything and they are a pleasure to keep clean. This one has Cargo pockets, front zip and overlay button plus an awesome hoodie for extra warmth! Can it not come in my size please???

3. THE JEANS

Look as such as I have tried, my boys are just not big into jeans! There are very few pairs they wear with open willingness, but these are the kind they love! I think they prefer something soft and slightly less fitting. And something without too may zips and buttons! So these are the kind I settle for because they look cute and I don’t have to fight with them about it. Plus they are super easy to get on and off and can be worn out or at home!

4. THE PANTS

As much as I let my kids be relaxed about what they wear, there are some occasions where they are simply expected to smarten up a bit. And these Iggy pants from COTTON ON are pretty awesome don’t you think? They cost R349 which I think is pretty reasonable and I love that they come in these gorgeous colours! So versatile and a little bit smarter that jeans or a tracksuit!

5. THE SHOES

We are a sneaker family. I blame my husband who has worked for both NIke and Puma for many years and whose obsession has slowly influenced us all. So we also love our kids to have some cool kicks too. These classics from VANS are so so cool and are the perfect choice for any little boy! I love that they are so versatile and can be worn with jeans, tracksuits and shorts in the summer time. Old Skool VANS going for R799.

And there you have it, our TOP TEN kid’s clothing pieces now available at Superbalist!
