Education and knowledge are such vital tools for the children of our country, if not the greatest gift we can give them! They are, after all, our future generation! And it’s so important that children are given the right tools, not only when it comes to being taught, but also for keeping up with the material being taught to them in the classroom.

It’s also important to remember that children learn in different ways and at different rates and show preference for certain subjects over others. What may be one child’s strength could very well be another child’s weakness. I know for me, I was never very good at maths, always falling behind and struggling to make sense of numbers! And that alone was enough to put me off. I think when there is a lack of confidence, it effects the way you learn and your attitude towards a subject. And that makes your grades suffer even more. Had I had the help I needed to get on top of my school work and properly understand the material, I may have enjoyed the subject and possibly even excelled at it!

So where was a program like SkillUp when I needed it? A program that is designed to assist parents in finding tutors to help their children with their school work. A program that aims to empower students by helping them get to grips with content they may be struggling with at school. Or even just fine-tuning the understanding for those who already seem to know it all. Perfect for preparing for exams and making sure they are fully prepared for any exam paper!

SkillUp’s goal is to connect people of all ages, who are wanting to learn, with people who are able to teach. As a parent or student you will find only the most trustworthy, highly skilled tutors through our website. Our tutors are the people you need to get your child’s grades to where they should be.

How it works for parents and students:

Step 1: Search for tutors

You can head over to the Find A Tutor page and filter your list of results by subject, grade, location, price preference or gender.

Step 2: Enquire with a tutor

Choose a tutor and enquire with them using the enquiry form. If the tutor is able to help, they’ll message you back.

Step 3: Arrange lessons

You can then message your tutor to arrange, book, and pay for your lessons securely through SkillUp.

As a parent or student you will find only the most trustworthy, highly skilled tutors through our website. Our tutors are the people you need to get your child’s grades to where they should be.
