Aren’t you guys just loving these posts that showcase some of the amazing talent our shores offer in terms of furniture and decor? Gone are the days where we would have to source stuff for overseas and order on expensive European websites to find beautiful stuff for our homes. Now days, with brands like Simply Home and Simply Child we are spoilt for choice!

Today we are chatting to Lindsay, one of the creatives behind the brands Simply Home and Simply Child. Here are some pics of how they featured in our big Bedroom Makeover Collaboration earlier this year.

Gorgeous dipped belly basket and lighting bolt wall vinyls which appear on the dark feature wall…..

Beautiful bedside table with black painted detail inside!

Perfect print for my little adventurer!

Lindsay and Leigh, co-owners of Simply Home, have collaborated to bring you a range of locally produced contemporary home decor.

Simply Home is all about bespoke products, ethically sourced and developed on South African soil.  With clean lines, neutral colours and the use of home grown raw materials, the Simply Home brand is where simplicity and sophistication join.

This is a brand where wood meets stone, bamboo meets marble, felt meets leather and copper meets rope…

With two ranges designed specifically for home and child they have now gone on to launch an entirely new range called Simply Me! A range dedicated to all things feminine, for the woman herself. Having only just launched, you will be super impressed with this range too.

Over to Lindsay…..

August 2014 we started our first product the Sprogipad bath cushion.

3. Was it an overnight success or did you experience many teething problems?

Many teething problems! We have learnt so much in the last few years and are very happy how things have turned out now but there is still much to learn and obstacles along the way. Be patient! If you believe in your product it will sell just takes time to get out there. Avoid consignment models, rather sell less. Avoid importing as much as you can rather take time to build your products locally and support the local market. We have so much to offer!
